Milwaukee, Wis. (5/10/13) -– Our April 27 fundraiser, Cirque du SAL, raised more than $48,000, a significant increase over last year’s proceeds. The funds support young adults in our Independent Living Services (ILS), which helps former foster children successfully transition to adulthood. There are not adequate government resources to support this program, so it relies on fundraising efforts such as this.
Several ILS young adults shared their stories at Cirque, and it helped engage and motivate guests. The event, at the Historic Pritzlaff Building, also featured raffles, a “Bids for Kids” feature, musical entertainment, aerial dancing, and a lot of fun.
